Harry Fairbairn MINI Giffnock has been recognised with an award for its outstanding performance in Used Car Sales at the MINI Retailer Awards, selling the highest volume of MINI Used Cars in 2016.
The awards took place on Thursday 23rd March 2017 at a glittering black tie event held at MINI’s world-famous Oxford Plant. To mark the occasion, the working plant was transformed into an impressive events space. Awards were presented by comedian Milton Jones.
The MINI Retailer Awards recognise the hard work of those who represent the MINI brand in over 141 different retail outlets throughout the UK, across eight regions. There are 11 categories, including Retail Sales, John Cooper Sales and MINI Manager of the Year. The Giffnock branch was the only Scottish dealer to win an accolade at the event.
James McMenemy, the MINI manager from the Centre was there on the night to collect the award on behalf of the team. He commented, ‘I’m absolutely thrilled that our hardworking Giffnock team has been recognised for their Used Car Sales performance this year. I’m delighted that such a young team has achieved so well.
‘We had a very straightforward remit; to build a team, establish a fantastic relationship with MINI UK and sell a lot of cars with high levels of customer satisfaction. This award is testament to the great attitude and work ethic we have in the branch, and will be a fantastic incentive for the team to continue to build on our already impressive results.’
Speaking at the awards, Chris Brownridge, Director, MINI UK, said: ‘In 2016 MINI UK’s retailer network delivered the company’s best annual performance since the brand was launched in 2001. I’m delighted to celebrate the achievements of our dedicated retail teams and congratulate each of our deserving winners.’
